The Kanga Old Boys Association (KOBA) was formed and operates exclusively for the purpose of promoting, supporting, and carrying out programs and activities for the benefit of alumni, current students of Kanga School, the school, and the community. The association’s activities are designed to foster continuing relationships while serving as a forum for alumni to maintain contact with the School and one another and function as the alumni’s official voice in communicating with the School.
About KOBA
KOBA Leadership
Mission, Vision & Values
The Kanga Standard: Excellence as Our Baseline
At Kanga, we don’t believe in settling for “good enough.” While traditional measures define success at 50%, we’ve set our baseline at 60%. This reflects our core belief that Kangarians are capable of more, and that extraordinary results come from raising the bar.
Our Performance Framework:
- The Kanga Standard: 60% — Our minimum threshold
- The Scholar’s Standard: 80% — The mark of distinction we encourage all Kangarians to pursue
- Below 40% — Requires intervention and support
Convening the Alumni Body
Structured forums for connection, reflection, and institutional progress
KOBA convenes its members twice annually through formal meetings designed to strengthen professional networks, assess alumni growth, and review the collective progress of the association. These gatherings serve as anchor points for accountability, continuity, and strategic alignment across cohorts.
Advancing Student Support & Recognition
Sustained commitment to access, equity, and academic merit
KOBA supports Kanga School students facing financial or structural barriers to completing their education, ensuring continuity where need is demonstrated. In parallel, the association recognises exceptional academic achievement by equipping A plain graduates with post-secondary learning tools, reinforcing the transition beyond high school.
Strengthening Career Pathways
Opportunity circulation across generations of professionals
KOBA facilitates the sharing and distribution of career opportunities within its membership, leveraging the experience of established alumni to support emerging professionals. Through this internal circulation, the association fosters professional mobility, mentorship, and intergenerational responsibility.
